Sole (bottom of foot), push (outside of foot), touch (inside of foot)

 

BASIC BALL MOVEMENT SEQUENCE:

 

Push to your L w/ your L foot, touch back to your R w/ your L foot, push to your R w/ your R foot, touch to your L w/ your R foot.

 

NOTES: stay on the balls of your feet; move your body past the ball to touch it back in the opposite direction; always keep the ball within reach, the ball doesn’t have to move far.

 

FOOT PULL SEQUENCE:

 

Push to your L side with L foot, pull back with sole of L foot, push ball to the R w/ R foot, pull the ball back w/ sole of R foot.

 

NOTES: Rotate your body as you touch the ball w/ the outside of your foot; collect the ball with the sole of your toe; pull the ball back laterally across your body.

 

THE CHOP SEQUENCE:

 

Push to L w/ L, push to L w/ L, then “wind up right arm” & chop w/ L foot & touch the ball R w/ L foot, push R w/ R foot, push R w/ R foot, then “wind up left arm” & chop w/ R foot & touch the ball w/ R foot to L.

 

NOTES: Rotate you body completely sideways; wind up your arm opposite of the foot that is executing the chop; your plant foot must be away and behind the ball allowing for proper spacing; the foot that is executing the chop must wrap around the ball enabling you to control it.

 

PULL BEHIND STANDING LEG SEQUENCE:

 

Push to your L side with L foot, pull ball behind your R leg with sole of L foot then touch ball w/ L foot to the R, push ball to the R w/ R foot, pull ball behind your L leg with sole of R foot then touch ball w/ R foot to the L.

 

NOTES: Plant foot must be next to the ball

 

CHOP BEHIND STANDING LEG SEQUENCE:

 

Push to L w/ L, push to L w/ L, then “wind up right arm” & chop w/ L foot & touch the ball R w/ L foot behind your R leg, push R w/ R foot, push R w/ R foot, then “wind up left arm” & chop w/ R foot & touch the ball L w/ R foot behind your L leg.

 

NOTES: Rotate you body completely sideways; wind up your arm opposite of the foot that is executing the chop; your plant foot must be in front of the ball allowing for proper spacing; collect the ball with the inside of your foot not your heel or toes; your final touch should move the ball in the exact opposite direction.

 

FOOT AROUND SEQUENCE:

 

In this sequence you will push the ball fwd instead of to the side.

 

Push ball w/ L foot, push ball w/ L foot, bring the L foot around the ball counterclockwise just above the grass w/o making contact on the ball, push ball w/ R foot, push ball w/ R foot, bring the R foot around the ball clockwise just above the grass w/o making contact on the ball.

 

NOTES: Bend your knees; take a short step “cutting the grass” around the ball; don’t reach and remember to keep the ball underneath your body.
 

ROLL FOOT IN SEQUENCE:

 

In this sequence you will push the ball diagonally fwd instead of to the side.

 

Push ball diagonally L w/ L foot, push ball diagonally L w/ L foot, roll over top of the ball w/ L foot diagonally to the R & bring your R foot around in front of the ball, push ball diagonally R w/ R foot, push ball diagonally R w/ R foot, roll over top of the ball w/ R foot diagonally to the L & bring your L foot around in front of the ball,

 

NOTES: Step in front of the ball allowing it to roll b/w your legs.

 

DRAG FOOT AROUND SEQUENCE:

 

In this sequence you will push the ball diagonally fwd instead of to the side.

 

Push ball L w/ L foot, push ball L w/ L foot, touch ball R w/ L foot, bring the L foot around the ball counterclockwise, push ball R w/ R foot, push ball R w/ R foot, touch ball L w/ R foot, bring the R foot around the ball clockwise.

 

NOTES: As you touch the ball with the inside of your foot, simultaneously take a lateral step.

 

FOOT-IN FOOT-OUT SEQUENCE:

 

Push ball directly fwd w/ L foot, push the ball directly fwd w/ L foot, bring the L foot around “in” front of the ball & then immediately “out” (like a windshield wiper motion), push ball directly fwd w/ R foot, push the ball directly fwd w/ R foot, bring the R foot around “in” front of the ball & then immediately “out” (like a windshield wiper motion).

 

NOTES: This move should make a windshield wiper motion.

 

THE DRAG FEINT SEQUENCE:

 

In this sequence you will push the ball diagonally fwd instead of to the side.

 

Push ball L w/ L foot, push ball L w/ L foot, touch ball R w/ L foot, fake push L w/ L foot & step and shift weight to L of ball, push ball R w/ R foot, push ball R w/ R foot, touch ball L w/ R foot, fake push R w/ R foot & step and shift weight to R of ball.

 

NOTES: As you step behind the ball on your feint touch, point your toes twds the grass; break loose w/ the outside of your opposite foot.
